Lend Lease Retail had embarked on a project to sell advertising space in atriums and high traffic areas throughout their Australian portfolio of shopping centres.
Over 15 locations, both regional and metropolitan were identified and offered for sale on a monthly basis.
However the cost of changing banners and problems involved with this was proving prohibitive to advertisers.
Bay Media were approached to provide a nationwide solution and standard application for all centres.
Bay Media proposed the BannerDrop banner winch.
This discreet unit could be installed in a variety of locations meeting engineering and aesthetic requirements whilst providing a simple means of installing and removing large format vinyl banners.
Working with Lend Lease Head Office, Centre Managers, Operations Managers, Engineers and Architects, Bay Media installed over 20 BannerDrop winch units in locations throughout Australia.
In each location training the winches were individually programmed and centre management were given training.
Bay Media completed the project installing all winches on time and under budget.
The winches continue to be used today, almost 10 years on with great success.
Existing winches have been relocated and new winches continue to be installed in multiple Lend Lease retail locations.
